At 1st Choice Care Homes we know that even the thought of moving into residential care can often be very traumatic for residents and relatives alike but often it is the only option to maintain personal safety, security and appropriate levels of care.

Our philosophy is simple. Each of our residents is respected as a unique individual and the care they receive is tailored around individual needs and preferences. We want all of our residents to make our home their home and as such we have very few rules. Residents are free to personalise their own spaces and we can also accommodate some pets at the discretion of the home manager.

We take great care to respect a person’s life history, likes, dislikes and, of course, their medical history which enables us to develop an individual profile and plan of care, actively encouraging them to make choices and lead an active lifestyle.

From the very beginning of our relationship with a resident, a two way discussion is established, ensuring that the services provided enhance the resident’s quality of life and meet the expectations of both resident and relative.
